Completion of "Between the Tides" ... yellow boat painting
I’ve been too busy to paint much during recent days … but I have managed to finish the ‘yellow fishing boat’ … at least, I assume it is completed. How does an artist ever know when a work of art is finished ? I usually reach a point that I cannot find a need for another stroke … so I say “That’s it !” … and add my signature.
As I said previously … this painting was a step-by-step demo for an art group I attend. it took two sessions to do … and then some final tweaking. I will show a few of the steps from the beginning. You can read my comments about these in a previous article (Watercolour Painting in Progress … November 27th)

Here is the final version … where my smaller brushes did their magic !

Now back to gift-wrapping … and then back to my studio … with joy!
